Global MissionsJesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (Matthew 28:18-20, NIV)
Purpose At FBC, we are passionate about reaching and serving our Christian family at home and around the world. Through financial support, constant prayer, letter writing, and general encouragement, we nurture a network of missionaries and organizations around the globe. Our Global Missionary Network We support individual missionaries from a number of missions organizations. The fields served by these various organizations range from stateside to Latin America, Asia, the South Pacific, Russia, and Eastern Europe. The missionaries we support serve the Lord in various ways, including church planting, teaching and training other missionaries, and medical missionary work. How We Support our Missionaries We support the missionaries in the field by providing regular monetary support, uplifting them in prayer, hosting them for visits, and meeting any special needs they may have. Governance Our pastors, the deacon board, and the Missions Committee work together to decide who the church supports as part of our missionary network. The organizations and individuals we support must be aligned with FBC in terms of doctrine and vision, and we interview all missionaries to ensure they would be a good representative of FBC in the mission field.
