Prayer Letter
Dear Friends, Greetings from WINTER! I came to the doctor this week and got lots of tests. Thankfully, although my right knee has arthritis and i wlll have to come to Salta capital every month to put get a shot in the knee.... it is not needing an operation. So, praise the Lord and now I need to lose weight which is hard in winter, but it is neccesary mmm that Cholesterol crept up a bit too. I was able to use the better internet time to comunicate with the visitors we will be having and helping other folks out with projects. One of our co workers from the Quiaca, Jujuy has his truck broken down in Cordoba, it is the gear box and that is very expensive, his name is Jorge Fabio Diaz a really special servant. I went on the weekend to Jujuy to share in a Mission's Meeting and also, to take the Conference invitation letters to the churches there. I was able to bring offerings for our ministry and for the Cardenas family from there. I was able to share a video of the Cardenas family there too as well as our ministry. Thank you for praying for Bethania this weekend will be a month since she had her convulsion and she is just getting better now. She contracted Bronquitis in the hospital so now we are waiting for her to get over that. It was an infection in her body that she got from the water in Talavera, we are getting them a really good water purifier. Her mother Debora lost her baby at less than two months of pregnancy so she has to have a treatment now, keep her in your prayers. Thank you friends for letting me share my heart and have your prayer support, these are young people who have very little support and have come to serve in the north by faith. I am traveling to Rivadavia tomorrow with a young man who wants to see what it is like there and can help us with our bathroom construction he is also trained in Child Psycology, which no one in Rivadavia has that type of education maybe he can get a job there. That Conference is coming closer every day. I wasn't able to go to Santa Maria but our young people and pastor went and on Saturday there were 3 decisions for Christ at the Youth Group meeting. Pepe Ferrero who is also with FIM and lives in Bs As will be coming tomorrow with another man they will be showing movies and preaching in various places for the next 10 days....so pray for this project. We will be in El Ocultar, Pozo del Tigre, Santa Rosa, Miraflores, La Union, Rivadavia, Santa Maria and some other Wichi Indian Missions nearby. So glad you all are finally getting Spring there. I hope our winter won´t be as long and cold as yours was. It will be nicer in Rivadavia, Salta Capital city is always cooler. June 19th-22nd is our Annual Conference we really need to build two new bathrooms before then. June 25th Kathryn arrives from the US for a little over a month long visit. She wants to know more about missions pray we will be a blessing. July 14th-20th is our Youth Camp in Rivadavia...Praise God for His provision for Scholarships July around the 10th We will be having a group from Fellowship Bible Church; Belmont, CA come down. We will have a children´s VBS while they are here. I am getting translators and everything ready. Pray we have a great time of ministry and that it will be a blessing to all. Thank you once again for your support, Cara Capps FIM, Rivadavia Banda Sur, Salta, Argentina.....Psalm 50 and Phil. 3:7-14 PS. Just heard from a childhood friend, whose name is Marci, that she has stage 1 breast cancer...add her to your prayer list. FIM 555 South 24th Street, Allentown, PA 18104-6666, Phone 610-435-9099 E-Mail: [email protected] Dear Friends,
Well, praise the Lord that Kathryn has been here for a week already. I had hoped to write you all when she came and my Yahoo account wouldn´t open right then! We are really busy getting ready for camp….Kathryn has been such a big help! My room was a mess and she helped me organize lots of things. We are going to go to Jujuy ne t week (my letter doesn’t work sorry), to get the truck ready for camp and buy the rest of the things we need. The group from FBC will be arriving on Friday the 11th, so pray for that… we are planning to have a Vacation Bible School for about 50 or 60 children. I already brought the bulk of what we need, but now I am remembering things. My friends Maria Ester and Tote Mancuello are bringing us some things from Buenos Aires. The Lord will bring the whole thing together. Our Annual Conference went well, but we had a lot of rain….lots from the surrounding areas were unable to get here because the roads were full of water. But we still had a great amount of folks and three were baptized so e citing. We have been blessed this year with several new young people and now they are coming together in a great group. I hope be able to send this letter from here. Thank you for being behind us, we are so blessed to have each one of you on our team. May God Richly Bless You, Cara Capps, FIM Rivadavia Banda Sur, Salta, Argentina Is 58:11 |
